Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.
I can’t believe January flew by so quickly — how is it already mid-February?

이제 곧 발렌타인데이네요.
세상에, 1월이 어디로 갔나 했는데 벌써 2월 중순이라니 믿기지가 않아요.

Last Friday, I attended a Galentine’s Day cake decorating event at Fleur Studio.
For those who don’t know, Galentine’s Day (Girl + Valentine’s Day) is all about celebrating with your girlfriends.

지난 주 금요일, Fleur Studio에서 진행된 Galentine’s Day 케이크 데코레이션 이벤트에 다녀왔어요.
Galentine’s Day는 Girl + Valentine’s Day의 합성어로, 여자 친구들끼리 보내는 발렌타인을 의미한답니다.

A friend invited me, and I couldn’t say no. I absolutely love girly, crafty activities like this. Maybe it’s the designer in me, but anything hands-on and creative makes me so happy.

친구가 초대해줘서 가게 되었는데, 저는 이런 소녀감성 가득한 액티비티를 정말 좋아해요. 아무래도 디자이너라 그런지 크래프트 작업도 좋아하고요. 그래서 고민 없이 다녀왔답니다.

We also coordinated our outfits a little. The dress code was white tops and jeans, so I chose a girly lace-detail top from Free People — the delicate lace made it feel extra cute. For outerwear, I paired it with a suede blazer from Oak + Fort, and wore wide straight-leg jeans from Mango.
Since it was a bit chilly, I layered a Sandro cardigan underneath for warmth. I loved my OOTD that day, so of course I took tons of photos. It felt like the perfect outfit for such a girly, fun event.

둘이 드레스코드도 살짝 맞췄어요.
화이트 탑에 청바지로 입자고 해서, 저는 걸리한 느낌의 Free People 레이스 디테일 탑을 선택했어요. 레이스가 은근히 포인트라 너무 귀엽더라고요.

아우터는 Oak + Fort 스웨이드 블레이저를 매치했고, 하의는 Mango에서 산 와이드 스트레이트 레그 진을 입었어요.
날씨가 조금 쌀쌀해서 Sandro 가디건을 레이어드해 보온까지 챙겼답니다.

그날 OOTD가 마음에 쏙 들어서 사진도 잔뜩 찍었어요.
소녀 감성 이벤트에 딱 어울리는 룩이었달까요.

We arrived after dinner, and the place was already packed. There was a DJ, and the whole studio had such a fun, party-like atmosphere.
We purchased a cake and decorating kit from one of the vendors for $25, then walked around to check out the other booths. The keychain-making booth was especially popular.

저녁을 먹고 도착했는데, 이미 사람이 정말 많더라고요. 디제이도 있고, 분위기는 거의 작은 파티 같았어요.
케이크 판매 벤더에게서 케이크와 데코레이션 세트를 $25에 구매하고, 다른 벤더들도 잠깐 구경했어요. 특히 키체인 만드는 부스가 가장 인기가 많더라고요.

Unfortunately, there weren’t many tables available inside the studio, so decorating there wasn’t really an option. Instead, we brought our cakes home and decided to decorate them in a more relaxed setting.

다만 스튜디오 안에 테이블이 많지 않아서 현장에서 데코레이션을 하기는 조금 어려워 보였어요. 그래서 저희는 케이크를 들고 집으로 돌아와, 집에서 천천히 데코레이션을 하기로 했답니다.

Sipping wine, chatting, and decorating cakes with a friend… time flew by without us even noticing. And here are our final creations!

친구와 와인 한 잔 하면서 수다 떨며 케이크를 꾸미니, 시간 가는 줄 모르겠더라고요. 그리고 완성작!

We’re both boy moms, but we definitely have very girly tastes, so we truly enjoy activities like this. Every now and then, it’s nice to do something just for ourselves.

저희 둘 다 보이맘이지만, 스타일은 엄청 걸리한 편이라 이런 액티비티를 정말 좋아해요. 가끔 이렇게 만나서 스트레스도 풀고, 소녀 감성도 충전하고요.

Moms deserve moments like this too — to unwind, laugh, and feel a little playful again.

It was such a lovely day.

엄마들도 이런 시간은 꼭 필요하잖아요.
참 즐거웠던 하루였습니다.
